519 Safety was founded on the idea that every small business should have affordable access to a health and safety professional, helping them protect their business and prevent harm to their employees, so everyone can enjoy their reasons to work. 

 

I am a Canadian Health and Safety Professional with over 30 years experience working for or with organizations across Canada in many sectors including construction, oil and gas, transportation, mining, healthcare, and education.

 

Through conversations with new entrepreneurs and successful small business owners, friends, and through my children’s work experiences, it became evident that many business owners do not fully understand  their legal responsibilities for workplace safety or where to look.  The not knowing puts workers at risk of harm and could lead to costly penalties for the owner.
